Set up the Support module
The Support module gives one project its own customer portal and support queue. Each request creates a private support case and a linked ticket. The case holds the customer conversation. The ticket gives your team a normal place to assign, triage, and track the work.
Project owners and administrators can open Modules → Support. Select a board and intake lane, or select Create Support Board. The preset board has New, Triage, Waiting on Customer, and Resolved lanes. You can rename the lanes after setup.
Set the portal name and address. Then enable the customer portal when it is ready. The address must be unique in the workspace. The selected board and lane must stay active in this project. Turning the portal off stops new requests but keeps existing cases and files.
The customer portal requires Pro, Business, or Enterprise. It uses the workspace's shared external-project allowance. Support and Testbench on the same project use one slot. Pro includes three external-enabled projects. Business includes ten. Enterprise uses its contract allowance.
The Support item in your profile menu has a different purpose. Use it to contact ToDoddle about the app.
Set the portal address
A workspace owner or administrator must first save a workspace tag in Workspace Settings.
The tag is unique across ToDoddle and cannot change after it is saved. A portal address combines
this tag with a project portal name, such as support.tododdle.com/krffl/support.
New portals use support as the portal name. Two portals in one workspace need different names.
Another workspace can use the same portal name. You can replace an older generated address once.
Its old links keep working.
Preview and brand the portal
Use the live preview to check the portal on desktop and mobile. The Conversation view shows a sample customer case. The preview does not submit requests or upload files.
Use Portal settings to change welcome text and form labels. Use Project Settings → Branding for shared colours, links, logo, background, favicon, and rounded or square corners. You can also hide the portal name when the logo already contains it. Contrast warnings identify text that can be difficult to read.
Logo, background, and favicon uploads accept static PNG, JPEG, or WebP files up to 2 MB. Uploaded images are public. Save branding applies shared appearance. Save changes in Support applies portal text and routing. Discard restores the saved settings. Resetting the theme does not remove the logo, favicon, or attachment setting.
Allow attachments on new requests controls files, screenshots, and Replay recordings on the first request. Replies always allow attachments. Turning this setting off does not remove files from existing cases.
Connect a custom domain
Business and Enterprise can remove the ToDoddle badge and connect one custom hostname to a project portal. Add the shown TXT and CNAME records with your DNS provider. Then select Verify. Keep the TXT record in place. HTTPS becomes available after certificate setup finishes.
One hostname can belong to only one Support or Testbench portal. The default ToDoddle address continues to work after a custom domain becomes active. Domain changes save separately from the other portal settings.
Use Workspace Settings → Support to find cases from projects that you can operate. Portal customers cannot see internal tickets or private notes. See Manage Support cases for the daily support workflow.
