Manage Testbench testers
Open Modules → Testbench → Testers. The area has Testers, Applications, and Cohorts & imports. Only project owners and administrators can see tester names, email addresses, applications, and answers.
Invite and manage testers
Select Invite testers and enter a name and email address. Testbench sends a private access link. The tester does not join your workspace and can see only assigned, published rounds.
Use Resend when a tester needs a new access email. Revoking access pauses the tester and ends their sessions. It keeps assignments, responses, and history. A blocked or withdrawn tester needs the specific restore action, which checks the current tester limit before it restores access.
The roster can show whether the latest access email was accepted by the provider or opened. An open is only a signal. Email software can load or block tracking images, so it does not prove that the person read the message or gained access.
Choose how people join
Open Project Settings → Testbench → Enrollment. Invite only is the default. Applications lets people submit the public form for review. Open signup enrolls an eligible person after email verification when capacity is available.
Only email-verified applications appear in Applications. Approval checks tester capacity and sends an access email. A declined application cannot sign in. Closing enrollment preserves applications and access for people who are already testers. The Testbench home page does not provide a public directory of projects.
Use cohorts and tags
Cohorts group testers for round assignments and email audiences. A project can have up to 100 cohorts. Archiving a cohort stops new membership but keeps its members and history. Restoring it uses the same cohort.
A tester can have up to ten distinct tags. Tags use lowercase text and can contain up to 30 characters. Cohort and tag changes do not change tester access or past round history.
Import a CSV roster
Paste or upload UTF-8 CSV with name, email headers. An optional tags column uses semicolons
between tags. A file can contain up to 100 data rows and be up to 100 KB.
Save the preview first. Testbench normalizes the values and marks invalid or repeated rows. Saving a preview does not invite anyone. Commit the import to create valid new testers, optionally add them to a cohort, and queue their access emails. Existing testers are skipped and do not have their status, tags, cohort, or access changed.
